Anne Bechtold, BBA RN CANS is a Registered Nurse in Texas and 26 other states, including Oklahoma. In addition, she holds a Bachelor of Business in Finance from the University of Oklahoma and the Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist (CANS) awarded by the Plastic Surgical Nursing Board (PSNB).
CANS stands for Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist and is a credentialed designation awarded by the Plastic Surgical Nursing Board (PSNB) of the International Society of Plastic and Aesthetic Nurses (ISPAN), formerly the American Society of Plastic Surgical Nurses (ASPSN). The CANS certification is a standardized test of knowledge and skills for all aesthetic treatments: injectables; neuromodulators and fillers, chemical peels and skin care product science, lasers and laser physics, and any aesthetic device used on the face or body. Currently, there are less than 25 in the State of Texas and 250 in the United States. A minimum of 2 years practicum experience in the fields of Plastic/Aesthetic Surgery, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Maxillofacial, or ENT Surgery required.
Anne is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, 1988, with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance (BBA). She later pursued her medical interests at Collin College earning her Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN RN) in 2008. Anne is a Registered Nurse in Texas compact license that allows her to practice Nursing in 25 other states and a separate Oklahoma license.
Anne began her Aesthetic career 6 years ago beginning with laser treatments; at which time she became a Certified Laser Professional in Texas. Soon after, she became highly interested and began to focus her aesthetic practice on injectables like Botox, Dysport, and fillers.
Anne has attended extensive training programs throughout the United States since 2010, including but certainly not limited to the Aesthetic Advancements Institute (AAI), Esthetic Skin Institute (ESI), and National Laser Institute (NLI). She earns greater than 25 hours of CE credits a year by attending the Aesthetic, Cosmetic, and Plastic Surgery conferences like the ASPSN convention throughout the year.
She’s had the honor of working with some of the most highly revered plastic surgeons in the world through her employment at the Cloister Hotel; post surgical recovery hotel for Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute (DPSI), Dallas, Tx. DPSI is recognized as the private practice of former UT Southwestern Chief of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Rod J. Rohrich.
She earns greater than 25 hours of CE credits a year by attending the Aesthetic, Cosmetic, and Plastic Surgery conferences like the ASPSN convention throughout the year.
In addition to conferences, conventions, and symposiums, Anne has had the pleasure and honor of personal training and mentorship by Plastic Surgeons from Boca Raton, Florida to Beverly Hills, California and places in between over the last 5 years.
